Veterans & Defence Families
At Saab Australia, we recognise the exceptional skills and expertise that ADF veterans possess. We appreciate their technical proficiency, determination and collaboration skills, which can be effectively translated into the creation of innovative products and services. Moreover, we greatly value the demonstrated leadership, resilience, and teamwork skills that veterans bring to our workforce.
Understanding the challenges that veterans face during their transition from military service to civilian life and to assist them in their career progression Saab Australia has a dedicated Veteran and Australian Defence Force (ADF) Partner Support Program.
“We’re prioritising veteran support initiatives because of our strong connection to the Australian Defence Force, but more importantly because we acknowledge the significant skills and values that veterans bring to workplaces and our community.
Through a suite of initiatives, in addition to tailored support and mentorship, we work to ensure that veterans can smoothly transition into their roles at Saab, whilst developing new skills and creating new and fulfilling career pathways.
We are dedicated to advancing and growing the number of veterans within the Saab workforce and our ongoing efforts in fostering a culture of inclusion, providing tailored support programs, and collaborating with veteran support organisations demonstrate our commitment to ensuring veterans thrive in their careers.
Saab's Veteran and Australian Defence Force Partner Support Program
Saab’s Veteran and Australian Defence Force Partner Support Program focusses on veterans transitioning from active service into civilian life and employment.
“Our goal is not only to recruit veterans, but also to provide them with a nurturing environment where they can excel. We want them to feel valued and empowered as they contribute to our organisation’s success.”
The program provides support to veterans and their families and sets out theprinciples and actions that underpin Saab’s future support of veterans, partners of ADF members, and those who continue to serve in the Defence Reserves.
In line with Saab’s commitment to supporting serving defence force members, veterans and their families, the business offers a range of additional employee support and benefits including military and reservist leave, veteran rehabilitation leave and more.
We are proud to contribute to the success of veterans and make a positive impact on their lives.
