Project Planner

A project planner is a function within the chain towards a delivery from supply chain, he/she will answer all related question towards meeting delivery dates within a certain delivery towards a demand. He/she will support manufacturing in having a constant flow with material and information to have a predictable delivery and a smooth logistical flow in and out of SGD. Interaction with different stakeholders needs to take place to achieve delivery. A responsibility meeting up stakeholders and inform about obstacles and improvements.

Your role

  • Single point of contact towards PMO office and responsible towards single or multiple customer orders depending on workload.

  • Also responsible for repair planning, execution and coordination within pre-defined products.

  • Be able to make suggestions for provisions for handle TAT on repairs, make financial and resource calculations towards SGD 90 days TAT and make suggestions.

  • Work shall be defined on SOW approved by responsible receiver. with the requirements time-cost-performance and the priority between them in case needed. Delegation of authority.

  • Support to procurement in delivering buying forecast on projects/prospects within areas of responsibility.

  • Shall collect all related information and have a visible plan to meet a production order (can consist of multiple LRU: s SRU: SW: test equipment: resources).

  • Overseeing project demands, including stock movements required.

  • Interact a having meeting with the correct stakeholders to meet delivery date as frequently as needed to share and get information about the delivery.

  • Interaction with Finance and stakeholders on placing WBS and parts on Customer order.

  • Chairman and responsible to call for (PWO) (DWO) (RWO) order kick off together with stakeholders. Responsible for the MOM and actions follow up related to the deliveries of concern. Handing over issues outside the deliveries to the responsible line manager within different disciplines.

  • When planning a start of a production / prototype make sure to take in to account yield, scrap or rework on certain components and parts. Make sure the info is on the BOM or planning part, customer order. Take in to account warranty repairs etc and make suggestions towards stakeholders.

  • Collecting and sharing information working proactive with air way bill, import/export licenses, end user certificates together with responsible roles in legal and export control department.

  • Project planner is a role that reports to Project manager / Contract responsible / Contract owner / Capex resp. and is also allocated through node number on a yearly budget.

  • Shall communicate with all disciplines within Supply chain to reach the milestones.

  • When priority between different customer occur, the role shall coordinate within project planning and production planning to reach the company milestones. Escalate to PMO when targets cannot be meet and get further instructions.

  • Coordinating production planner towards un-reserving and reserving LRU’s on different projects or customer orders.

  • Keeping track on different configurations and report a change towards production planners.

  • Looking after the whole chain towards the delivery and act proactively. Making improvement suggestions to the organisation to develop and improve the way company execute.

  • Can be part of WB process - and - bidding process - costing process to secure a delivery success and sharing experiences.

  • Responsible for planning prestart and initiate LLI Long Lead Items order to meet the demand together with production planner.

  • Responsible for S&OP prognosis towards S&OP manager.

  • Delivery Deadline driven with customer focus

  • Maintain inventory of job materials/consumables and floor stock.

Your profile

Required knowledge:

  • ERP/MRP/PDM knowledge

  • Possess knowledge of production planning and MRP, clearly understand the process or loading and changing the MPS, along with the impact on MRP and Material planners

  • Clear understanding of material liability agreement that is contractually in place.

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain process and the impact of schedule changes

  • Advanced computer skills, with emphasis on spreadsheet software package.

  • Exceptional interpersonal/ written communication skills; can effectively interact with all levels of management

  • Organizational and problem-solving skills required

  • Proven experience with complex planning, forecasting and product lifecycles programs

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and Supply Chain Management

Practical Experience

  • Must be able to understand Supply Chain and Inventory principles and application thereof

Qualification:

  • An applicable tertiary qualification in Operations Management and/or Production Planning or equivalent APICS certification/qualification with Supply Chain experience
