GC IDT supports marksmanship, initial combat, combat and judgemental training. For all of these, feedback is instant.

For skills training that focuses on procedural memory, repetitive training is performed and impacting variables are set to optimize learning. By involving procedural and declarative memory in decision-making and combat training, decisions can be corrected directly, and an outcome from one decision can be measured and compared with the outcome of another choice.

Realistic target reactions

Humans and vehicles in GC IDT have various target areas with different levels of protection and reactions when hit. With this, decision-making includes the initial point of aim and choice regarding re-engagement.

The system provides different types of feedback divided info weapon data, performance and results.

Sensors in the replicas monitors weapon status to provide the weapon status. The performance evaluation evaluation gives a detailed view of the gunners weapon handling before and during the firing. The result is a scoring based on several user defined parameters.

Light conditions and visibility

Light levels and visibility are dictated by the position of celestial bodies, clouds, precipitation and particles, such as smoke. All of this is instructor-controlled. Dynamic lighting creates realistic effects like drifting illumination, including shadowing.
