Saab Restated Financial Figures According to New Business Area Structure
As previously communicated, Saab has adapted the organisation so that governance and management better supports the company's growth ambitions. To facilitate comparisons in coming financial reports, Saab today discloses restatement effects on key figures for full year 2021, 2020 and 2019 for affected parts of the organisation.
Under the new organisation structure, announced on March 18, 2021, six business areas became four and the units within Support & Services (S&S) and Industrial Products & Services (IPS) were integrated into other business areas, creating a clearer connection between businesses, core areas, services and simplified customer interaction. In the new organisation, Combitech's independence will increase further and it will not be part of the new business area structure. Within the change, Saab has also created a new Operational Excellence function with focus on driving operational efficiency. Synergies will be continuously identified and implemented.
Proforma figures showing the performance of the merged business areas are outlined in the attached pdf and excel sheet tables, including key quarterly figures such as orders, sales, operating income and operational cash flow for 2021 and 2020 as well as full year figures for 2019. The business area Kockums is not affected by the structural changes. Saab will publish its third quarter report based on the updated business area structure on October 22, 2021.
