Saab supplies Ringhals nuclear power station with surveillance and protection
Saab has signed a contract with Ringhals AB to supply Ringhals nuclear power station with surveillance and protection that meets the Swedish Nuclear Power Inspectorate’s requirements. The parties have agreed not to publicly announce the order value.
”The contract is an important step in Saab’s positioning within the area of civil security”, says Michael Höglund, Vice President at Saab Communication. “Critical infrastructure for energy production and distribution, airports and harbours are some of the areas Saab will concentrate on.
During 2008 Saab Communication will design and implement a surveillance system that is tailored for work in the surveillance centre of a nuclear power station. The system covers presentation systems, network, systems for intruder alarms, cameras for immediate verification of security perimeter alarms and for surveillance, access control systems and entrance telephony system.
Saab Communication will supply a complete solution for Ringhals that includes all the above systems as a single contract. Delivery will be completed within the year.
