Saab RBS15 to be installed on Finnish Hamina

Saab RBS15 to be installed on Finnish Hamina Saab Bofors Dynamics has received an order from the Finnish Naval Headquarters to install the Missile Engagement Planning System (MEPS) for RBS15SFIII on the new Fast Attack Crafts of Hamina class. The order is an addition to the on-going program between Saab Bofors Dynamics and the Finnish Naval Headquarters which includes service-life extension and performance upgrade of the Finnish Navy's RBS15 missiles. The program gives the Finnish Navy a customised state-of-the-art RBS15 missile denominated RBS15SFIII. Deliveries of upgraded missiles started in October 2003 and will continue until 2005. The RBS15 has been in service with the Finnish Navy since the end of the 80ies and this additional order to install the MEPS for RBS15SFIII on the new Fast Attack Crafts of Hamina class is once again a sign of confidence in the Swedish system. Saab is one of the world's leading high-technology companies with its main operations focusing on defence, aviation, and space. The group covers a broad spectrum of competence and capability in systems integration.
