Saab Training Systems signs contract with Ministry of Defence in Spain Saab Training Systems AB, Huskvarna, Sweden has signed a contract with the Spanish Ministry of Defence for the delivery of Range Equipment for army training. The order value is ESP 175.000.000. The contract includes Saab Training Systems' mobile tank targets BT37MX, the portable tank targets BT18SX, the BT24 radio control system and laser target interfaces (LTI) for these targets. The targets will be used for live fire training as well as laser based gunnery training with the BT41 laser simulators which are used by the Spanish army for their Leopard 2A4. Delivery will take place in the end of 1999 and the moving targets will be installed during the first quarter of 2000. With the delivery under this new contract the Spanish army increases their base of Saab Training Systems range equipment which has been used for training since more than ten years.
