Saab to Showcase Training and Field Technologies at Upcoming Sea-Air-Space Conference
At the premier U.S. maritime exposition, Saab will present its Sirius Compact sensors, Giraffe 1X radar, T-7A Red Hawk training program, and more.
The upcoming Sea-Air-Space 2025 exposition in National Harbor, MD will showcase innovation, collaborative projects and forward-thinking solutions that will drive progress for the U.S. defense industry. Saab will join military leaders, industry experts and innovators to explore new technologies and exchange ideas on some of the most pressing challenges facing our nation.
On April 7-9, Saab will showcase a selection of its broad suite of products designed to keep people and society safe. A few of those products, which promise to make a major impact in the future of defense, are highlighted here.
Sirius Compact Sensors
The Sirius Compact is a family of scalable passive Electronic Warfare (EW) sensors that act as a force multiplier by enhancing situational awareness through silent detection, classification and prioritization of radar and datalink emissions.
Modular, scalable and designed to work across all platforms, these sensors are ideal for meeting surveillance challenges across all levels of tactical operations. By broadening the sensing horizon and enhancing situational awareness, Sirius Compact Sensors improve early warning capabilities, as well as the ability to locate threats while remaining undetected.
Due to its low Size, Weight and Power (SWAP), Sirius Compact offers rapid deployment across all Electronic Warfare operations.

Giraffe 1X Radar
The combat proven Giraffe 1X sensor is a multifunction system providing 360° coverage against all classes of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), rockets/artillery/mortar, air breathing targets (fixed and rotary wing), and surface vessels.
With an exceptionally small integration footprint, Giraffe 1X can be deployed as a mobile (land vehicles or sea vessels), expeditionary, or fixed asset for surveillance and air defense. Giraffe 1X is in steady production supporting fifteen user nations in a variety of missions globally.
T-7A Red Hawk
The T-7A Red Hawk, a Boeing-Saab cooperation, is an advanced pilot training system currently undergoing flight test at Edwards Airforce Base. The T-7A is designed in accordance with U.S. Air Force military future fighter and bomber pilot training requirements, including advanced avionics, modern cockpit displays and embedded training. In the coming years, the U.S. Air Force will use the T-7A to train thousands of fighter and bomber pilots annually.
While the current iteration of the T-7A is tailored specifically for the U.S. Air Force, Saab is supporting efforts that will suit the requirements of the U.S. Navy once the need arises, helping to equip Naval aviators for today’s and tomorrow’s air combat challenges.
