Saab UK Joins NATO Exercise in the Netherlands
A team of Saab UK employees recently participated in the 2 week TIE 24 NATO Exercise in the Netherlands with a Giraffe 1X and the Saab C2 system.
The TIE 24 Exercise is about bringing together a wide range of sensors and effectors from the Counter-UAV sphere, along with C2 Systems to provide end-to-end collaborative defence against the UAV threat.
The Giraffe 1X provided radar tracks as part of a network of passive detectors, cameras, jammers and cyber effectors from industry partners. This team of collaborators achieved the highest scoring result against other competitors on the day. The Exercise was to prove the capability of the Sapient network, but we were also collaborating with the sharing of C-UAS data across other data-sharing protocols.
Participants came from across the NATO nations, with input from the lessons learned in current conflicts.
