Saab at IMDEX Asia 2025
Saab is set to showcase its latest advancements in naval and maritime defence at IMDEX Asia 2025, held at the Changi Exhibition Centre, Singapore 6–8 May. As a trusted partner in the Asia-Pacific region for over five decades, Saab continues to drive innovation in maritime security, providing cutting-edge solutions to safeguard people and society.
Under the theme “Keeping People and Society Safe”, Saab will highlight its advanced capabilities, including naval platforms, surveillance systems, training solutions and underwater technologies. IMDEX Asia 2025 presents a key opportunity to engage with industry leaders, government representatives, and defence partners from across the region.

Focusing on next-generation maritime capabilities, Saab’s showcase will feature a range of solutions designed to enhance operational effectiveness and survivability in modern naval operations:
- Multi-Role Combat Vessel (MRCV) Superstructure – A composite superstructure offering a lightweight, non-corroding alternative to traditional materials, reducing structural weight by 50%. Saab is supplying six superstructures to the Republic of Singapore Navy under contract with the Defence Science & Technology Agency.
- Sea Giraffe 1X – A compact high-performance 3D surveillance radar designed for naval platforms, offering exceptional situational awareness, CUAS capabilities, and electronic counter-countermeasures (ECCM).
- Sirius Compact R-ESM – A modular passive electronic warfare (EW) system providing silent detection, classification, and prioritisation of radar and datalink emissions.
- Maritime Live Training Solutions – Saab’s GAMER Suite, including Manpack 300 (Exercise Control, Communication) and Compact Ballistic Laser, delivers the world leading high fidelity training solution for Maritime Force Elements.
- Saab Lightweight Torpedo (SLWT) – A state-of-the-art, wire-guided, anti-submarine warfare torpedo capable of operating in shallow and deep waters, and varying hydroacoustic conditions.
