Systems Engineering Co-Op/Intern - Summer 2025

Build your resume experience and enhance your marketability with real-work and hands-on applications.   Saab Inc.'s Surveillance U.S. Division is in search of a motivated, enthusiastic Engineering student who is interested in applying their studies to real-world product development through a paid Co-Op/ Internship opportunity.

Saab, Inc. is currently looking for a Summer 2025 Systems Engineering Co-Op/Intern. Under the guidance of senior engineers, the Systems Engineering Co-Op will:

  • Actively participate in the integration, test setup and conduct of test for defense radars.

  • Work with senior test and system engineers to properly configure the system to achieve test objectives for verifying system requirements to the end customer.

  • Participate in internal technical meetings and readiness reviews.

  • Collaborate with project lead for task planning and scheduling of team activities.

  • Contribute to or independently define test system architectures.

  • Define and develop necessary tools for data analyses.

  • Contribute to the development of integration plans and checklists based on requirements and system design documentation and conduct integration activities in accordance with plans and checklists.

  • Flush out SEIT wiki content for training, for operational usability, and for engineering quality. 

  • Create MBSE models in Cameo aligned to the SETI wiki

Compensation Range: $20-$22/hr

In addition to a competitive hourly rate, Saab Inc. offers a sign-on bonus to off-set housing expenses for Co-Ops residing outside the typical office commuting distance.

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

  • Enrollment in an accredited degree program focused in an Engineering or related discipline.

  • Completed Freshman year or greater at time of hire.

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

  • Hands-on experience with building and assembling pieces together, i.e. hobbies, DIY projects, etc. 

  • A working knowledge of Matlab is desired.

  • Experience developing wiki/webpages with Confluence or equivalent is desired.

Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
