The Opportunity
As a Systems Engineer, you will contribute to enhancing the effectiveness and capabilities of combat systems, ensuring they operate with precision and reliability in defence operations.
Our Systems Engineers provide high-level engineering technical expertise across combat system integration design for naval vessels, undertaking technical investigations, root cause analysis and solution identification, platform integration (including consideration of whole-of-ship and compartment integration, cabling, HVAC, electrical, weight, etc.) of combat systems to the ship platform systems, technical reporting and documentation, design coordination and review, alongside knowledge sharing and mentoring support to peers and juniors.
What you need to succeed:
We welcome candidates with skills and experience in systems engineering, including but not limited to:
- Australian Citizenship, with the ability to obtain and retain an NV1/ NV2 clearance
- Between 3 – 6 years post-graduate experience, with tertiary qualifications in either Electronics, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to work across multi-partnered programs
- Ability to work autonomously, with a hunger to learn
- Experience across the full systems engineering lifecycle (and using DOORS).
- Experience with system/ platform integration, requirements reviews, design reviews, and/or test and acceptance events with customers or similar
- Experience in maritime or defence domains is highly desirable
- Positions are based in Adelaide; candidates with out-of-state applications will need to be willing to relocate, as FIFO options are not available for these roles.
