Job Description:
Saab, Inc. has a career opportunity for a dynamic, results-oriented Supply Chain Data Analyst to join the Supply Chain team. As a Supply Chain Data Analyst, you will collect, organize, and analyze data from the Oracle ERP system. You will develop analysis tools and produce metrics reports which measure and track suppliers’ performance in meeting their contractual commitments. You will participate in small business reporting (eSRS), FFATA reporting, supplier Quarterly Business Review reporting, and assist in categorizing supplier spend by business area, program type, commodity type, etc. You will engage with all levels of the Supply Chain organization to collaboratively develop new procurement tools, improve current analysis tools, and coach colleagues on the use of these tools.
Responsibilities Include:
Accumulate and distribute weekly data that supports the maintenance of critical Supply Chain metrics.
Work with Supply Chain colleagues and business end-users to understand data and analysis needs and develop requirements.
Assist with the evaluation and analysis of material cost data.
Generate and publish weekly reports from MRP that support the reliable placement of material requisitions and purchase orders.
Use data mining techniques to extract information from large data sets.
Organize and transform information into easy to understand comprehensible structures such as Excel reports, graphs, and charts.
Manipulate data to identify and analyze trends or variances.
Effectively monitor data quality to ensure data accuracy and promote effective decision making.
Communicate with and instruct Supply Chain colleagues to ensure that they understand new data and metrics or improvements to metrics.
Maintain the Supply Chain organization’s SharePoint site.
Accumulate and organize data that supports quarterly supplier assessments.
Compensation Range: $85,000- $106,200
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required
5 years of related experience in a production and/or development environment with preference for aerospace and defense
Comprehensive understanding of the procurement process (sourcing, qualifying suppliers, placing orders, tracking On Time Deliveries, and expediting)
Expert in Microsoft Excel
Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint
Ability to interface and work with all levels within an organization including Director level roles
Strong analytical and communication skills
Multi-task and manage multiple priorities
Critical thinking
Data visualization
Familiarity of Oracle ERP systems (or other ERP systems) with the ability to extract data, organize data and maintain accurate databases
Desired Skills:
Power BI
Structured Query Language (SQL)
Excel Statistical Process Control software toolset
Experience working in the defense industry
Experience working in a Supply Chain organization
