The opportunity
We are growing and looking for Software Engineers to join our Naval Combat Systems (NCS) group.
As the sovereign provider of combat management systems to the Royal Australian Navy, Saab’s Naval Combat Systems business line is responsible for the development and sustainment of Australia’s combat management system capability.
Other capabilities within this division include; mine warfare, tactical training systems and surveillance solutions.
We have multiple positions available for Software Engineers who will be responsible for the specification, design, development, documentation and testing plus maintenance of software components within Saab.
We are currently seeking experienced Software Engineers who are:
- workplace experienced and ready to face complex challenges
- seeking opportunities to provide your software engineering expertise in combat, communications, platform, control and autonomous systems
- possess skills spanning the software engineering lifecycle, including but not limited to:
- software requirements and architecture
- software design and development
- software integration and test
- verification and validation
- DevOps and platform engineering
- site reliability engineering
- software management and leadership
- prepared to assist Saab’s contribution to Australia’s Defence and Security enterprise
As a defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and be able to obtain and retain a NV1 security clearance.
