The Opportunity
Our Software Developers main responsibilities involve specification, design, development, documentation and testing plus maintenance of software components for our 9LV Combat Management System.
You will bring your strong background in full stack/ back end development using Java and C++ to participate in reviews, development and maintenance of software components, provide technical guidance to junior engineers, whilst acting as the subject matter expert in software development, taking part in requirements gathering with clients and stakeholders, ensuring product design meets capability needs.
What you need to succeed:
We welcome candidates with skills and experience in full-stack/ back end development, including but not limited to:
- Australian Citizenship, with the ability to obtain and retain an NV1/ NV2 clearance
- Min 3 years post graduate experience in full stack/ back end software development
- Tertiary qualifications in Software Development or similar
- Min 3 years’ Experience in development using Java or C++ is essential
- Knowledge of Dockers, Jenkins, DDS, GIT, Clear case or similar automation frameworks is required
- Linux dev environments exp essential
- Experience across the full SDLC
- Experience with requirements reviews, design reviews, and/or test and acceptance events with customers
- Designing, developing and testing software components within software intensive systems.
- Defect resolution of legacy software components within software intensive systems.
Positions are based in Hawthorne, Melbourne; candidates with out-of-state applications will need to be willing to relocate, as FIFO options are not available for these roles.
