We are currently looking for a Software Architect within the Fighter Radar Application Software domain who will define, develop and maintain state of art Fighter Radar Application Software.
Your role
As a Software Architect within Product Unit Fighter Radar you will have an important role defining and enforcing software design choices and coding standards within the Radar Application SW domain. Further create and share understanding of customer needs as well as ensuring fulfillment of applicable product development standards required for airborne products. As a technical leader you mentor less experienced colleagues, support overall competence growth within SW craftmanship and ways-of-working. The role includes possibility to have significant impact both product characteristics as well as ways-of-working.
As a Software Architect you are responsible for:
- Define and enforce software specific design choices to create a coherent SW architecture within Fighter Radar Application Software domain
- Drive SW requirement analysis, breakdown and refinement
- Define/Refine coding standards applied in development teams
- Understand the big picture and translate to details of software architectures and anticipate and facilitate architectural changes over the full software lifecycle
- Support SW Engineers and Teams though product development phases providing architectural guidance
- Support resolution of coding or design issues to ensure the software product is fully functional and meet regulatory as well as customer requirements
- Advocate for best practices, evaluate new technologies, and enhance development processes
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure high-quality, maintainable code
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards applicable for SW being developed
Your profile
To be successful in this role, we see that you have the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. This includes strong problem-solving skills, attention to details as well as strong communication skills. You further need to have deep understanding of software design and architectural patterns as well as experience employing multiple programming languages. We see that you hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent, have a genuine interest in SW Development and complex products.

- C++ programming experience
- Git (Bitbucket, GitLab or equivalent)
- Jenkins (or equivalent)
- Embedded real time systems
- Communication protocols
- Radar technology
- Signal processing
- Simulation software design
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
