At Saab, Inc. in East Syracuse, you have the opportunity to join a dynamic Quality Assurance team supporting the development of complex marine and ground-based radars. Primary responsibilities will include:
- Execute Quality Management System principles and processes.
- Primary point of contact for all quality issues on assigned program.
- Contract review, quality program planning, and requirements flow-down.
- Identify and disposition nonconforming material.
- Chair of Material Review Board.
- Develop quality performance estimates for cost proposals and project scheduling.
- ECR/N generation, review, and CCB participation.
- Data and trend analysis.
- Oracle ERP database management.
- Disposition and track nonconforming material.
- Perform internal audits to ensure process maturity and capability while ensuring compliance for our customer, production, and supply chain functions.
- Monitor and track Corrective Action Requests and Corrective Action Plans.
- Coordinate with external quality assurance auditors and technicians to ensure compliance.
- Identify, communicate, and execute value-added process improvements/initiatives.
- Deliver a people first culture in alignment to Saab leadership vision.
Secondary responsibilities:
- Support incoming inspection and inspection planning.
- Support Calibration/maintenance of equipment.
- Saab Internal Quality Metrics.
Compensation Range: $85,000- $106,200
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or similar field required.
- 8+ years of experience with expertise of the aerospace industry a plus.
- MBA, M.Sc. or an equivalent documented education or certifications a plus.
- Ability to be self-driven and deliver a high quality of work.
- Ability to drive and lead change. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) programs, procedures, and processes.
- Working knowledge of Quality System Management per AS9100.
- Working knowledge of SEI CMMI.
- ASQ – Certified Quality Engineer is a plus.
- IPC certifications or other related industry certifications is a plus.
