Job Description:
Saab, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to contribute as an integral part of the Shared Services Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting and analytical skills, accuracy, attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to learn quickly.
This individual will be key in supporting the Accounting Department and is expected to proficient in – tracking and reporting Revenue, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Invoicing, Inventory, General Ledger, including Warranty and Loss Reserves, and Financial Reporting experience is a requisite. The Senior Accountant is also responsible for month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings, audit requests, fixed asset management, internal control testing, and problem solving and will be a reliable point of contact for the team and Management.
This includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
Month-end closing procedures, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
Interface with finance in weekly accounting of program revenue and costs.
Accounting for fixed assets and depreciation.
Support for tax filings and financial and compliance related audits.
Participate in core business process improvements.
Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
Compensation Range: $78,900- $118,300
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Experience within a defense related industry preferred
Minimum 5-7 years’ experience required
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Oracle experience helpful, but not required
Attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team environment
Solid written and oral communication skills and analytical problem solving
Sound and consistent business judgment, a good grasp of Company priorities and a sense of urgency
High level of enthusiasm, with the ability to remain flexible to meet internal and external needs
Citizenship Requirements:
