Quality Assurance Officer
The role
As part of our Naval Combat Systems group, The Quality Assurance Officer will provide support to the NCS Quality Lead in the execution of the NCS quality management program
Further, the successful candidate will:
- Conduct and manage internal audit activities on NCS Projects
- Monitor and report status of quality requirements as defined in Project Plans
- Participate in technical reviews and witness testing
- Ensure creation, approval and implementation of Project Quality Plans
- Initiate Corrective/Preventative Actions ensuring effective actions taken and closure
- Coordinate PMR and MRB activities
- Review and Approve Inspection and Test Plans and Control Plans
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders
Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office, 9 day fortnight and will be considered for this role.
About you
Your skills and experience will include:
- Experience in working with software development projects
- Experience in working with Systems Engineering processes
- Understanding technical drawing details and related standards (desirable)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Organisational skills with ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience in working with Defence related projects (desirable).
- Ability to work under pressure when required but able to balance performance and wellbeing
- Setting clear expectations, fostering open communication, providing timely feedback, and promoting a positive team culture both for office and remote workers.
- Exemplify empathy, integrity, accountability, high performance, collaboration, innovation, and engagement.

Educational Qualifications and Professional Memberships
A degree (or equivalent experience) in a technical or business discipline.
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants will be required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline/NV1/NV2 level or have the ability to gain one.
