Project Manager - Support Services

The role

Reporting to the Naval Combat Systems Sustainment Manager, the Project Manager - Support Services will ensure Saab’s contractual Upkeep services are being delivered to the Enterprise Partnering Agreement (EPA), Part D Contract requirements. This includes the necessary oversight of the products being supported in accordance with the AusCMS Support Plan and the approved Support Services Management Plan (SSMP). The scope of support services includes:

  • Operating Support
  • Engineering Support
  • Maintenance Support
  • Supply Support
  • Training Support

Further, the successful candidate will:

  • Project Management responsibilities to ensure compliance to the EPA Contract Part D scope, including task management, financial management, risk management and performance management
  • Provide leadership to the Support Service team within the scope of the contracted service including operating, engineering, supply and maintenance management
  • Coordinate concurrent Part D activities to ensure enterprise efficiencies are realised and value for money outcomes are achieved
  • Pursue and introduce Part D (Upkeep Services) opportunities to EPA tasking D0001 including upkeep scope within broader EPA offerings
  • Interface directly with the Commonwealth’s Maritime Integrated Warfare Systems (MIWS) branch
  • Contribute to the combined Services Performance Reviews and deliver regular reports
  • Monitor and maintain the EPA Support Services program resource profile.

About you

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Tertiary qualification within project management, operations or business
  • 10+ years’ experience with defence industry support services and processes consistent with ASDEFCON Support
  • Knowledge of RAN combat system operational needs and performance, including subsystems such as Combat Management Systems, radars and sensors
  • Detailed understanding of the ASDEFCON (Support) suite including the Conditions of Contract and Statement of Work including Contract Service Requirement List (CSRL) and Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL)
  • Management of maintenance and warehousing and distribution services (including the Electronic Supply Chain Manual (ESCM))
  • Sub-contract management for provision of services
  • Working with ITAR requirements.

As a defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and be able to obtain and retain a NV1 security clearance.
