The Role:

To provide Management team with regular, accurate and detailed project costs. Collating actuals and forecast to completion cost, Cash Flows and risk evaluations. Be responsible for the accuracy of all project related financial information on the eWROV development project and sub projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Program Manager and Finance department stakeholders, develop a financial model to report and proactively control the project planned cost (baseline), actual cost, estimate to complete (ETC) and estimate at completion (EAC).

  • Track project cost changes by category and report variances to plan, including development spend, time recording, stock spend, Non-labour spend, third-party costs by mastering the data extraction from the business’s ERP and accounts systems and liaising closely with the relevant project and product teams.

  • Develop the project financial reporting metrics enabling simple and consistent communication of the project’s financial status.

  • Be the trusted financial business partner to the project team and report the project financial status and changes confidently to senior business stakeholders.

  • Create and maintain a cash flow model for the project. Together with the Program Manager and key business stakeholders, propose actions to meet the project and business cash flow objectives.

  • Manage the smooth transition of financial data from the prototype to the pre-production and production phase of the project ensuring the standard MRP business tools are updated accordingly.

  • Working closely with the project team, ensure that the financial aspect of project risk is managed adequately. This includes establishing risk provision and the subsequent management and release of risk budget to cost and margin within the project governance framework.

  • Work closely with central finance teams to ensure timely and accurate statutory accounts entries relating to the projects are made.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A qualified Accountant.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance project control role.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience with ERP systems and extracting data.

  • Knowledge of project accounting.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

  • Enthusiasm to contribute and take responsibility.
