Program Procurement Manager, Naval Combat Systems

Your role

As Manager of Program Procurement, you will, together with your team, work closely with Sales Management in bid-teams to flow down customer requirements into Supplier contracts. The team is commercial responsible for Combat Systems Supplier contracts, compliance towards these contracts as well as maintaining Supplier Relationship Management with the most strategic suppliers.

You establish clear communication and reporting structures from Procurement towards Business Units project and product management. You strive for high service level towards internal stakeholders, always with high set of standards and business orientation. The role includes travelling to Saab sites and Suppliers on a regular basis.

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible contact person for procurement team towards the projects
  • Responsible for development of the team’s ways of working
  • The role includes management of the team as well as own deliveries in the projects
  • Take full responsibility for the unit within following tasks:
    • Work with sales management and tender teams from early phase WB1/2
    • Mitigate risks in the program
    • Secure transparency between customer and supplier
    • Lead RFI and RFQ in the programs
    • Responsible for supplier relationships
    • Lead in negotiations regarding external suppliers
    • Establish and negotiate contracts
    • Contract management within the program
    • Responsible contact person for procurement towards the projects

Your profile

You are a people oriented and business driven Manager with >5 years of experience from strategic procurement in senior positions. Besides being passionate about doing business, you are skilled in building high performing teams, are an appreciated leader and have an analytical eye in combination with strategic thinking. We also assume that you have:

  • Solid understanding of complex system tenders
  • Solid understanding of contract negotiations
  • Solid understanding of Naval Combat Systems projects
  • Leadership experience is meriting
  • Experience working in a complex, international procurement environment
  • Ability to Building trust within the Naval Combat Systems organization

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply
