Your role
The Manager Operational Development is responsible for driving efficiency, innovation, and continuous improvement within procurement operations. This role ensures that procurement processes, tools and methods are aligned with business objectives. You will be responsible for a team currently consisting of 8 employees located in Gothenburg and Järfälla. The team members are subjects matter experts within various areas.
You will be a part of the Procurement Excellence & Quality Management Team, reporting to Head of Procurement Excellence & Quality and is a centralized function, working cross sites within Surveillance. The role can be based in Gothenburg, Huskvarna or Järfälla and require you to be able to travel cross site, both domestic and international.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and compliance
- Driving standardization and simplifying the processes, methods and tools for procurement
- Close cooperation with the line organization within procurement as well as other functions to find best possible ways of working to improve the procurement output
- You take lead in initiatives to enhance procurement automation and digitalization
- You contribute in securing compliance towards SAAB customer requirements by having experts supporting and training the organization
- Support supplier risk management and compliance initiatives
- Define and track procurement KPIs and/or PI’s
- Develop and present reports to senior leadership on procurement efficiency and progress
Your profile

As a manager you demonstrate communicative leadership skills in order to create commitment and energy within the organization and your ability to establish a performance driven culture within your unit will be important.
You are a communicative leader, curious to learn and develop and leads by enthusiasm and interpersonal skills both within your own organization but also towards stakeholders within Saab and externally. We also assume you have:
- Several years of experience from managerial positions within Sourcing or Supply Chain on senior strategic level.
- A bachelor degree in Business Management, Economics or Engineering. You are fluent in English and Swedish.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.
- Experience in procurement transformation, automation, and process improvement.
- Familiarity with procurement systems.
- Analytical mindset with an interest in data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to drive change management initiatives
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
