Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer with experience in miliary radar, sensor or weapons systems to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the system-level design, development, and integration of advanced radar technologies exclusively for defense applications. This position requires deep technical knowledge in RF systems, signal processing, and antenna design, as well as strong problem-solving abilities. This role requires up to 50% travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the system-level design, development, and testing of radar systems and RF circuits for defense applications.
Design and optimize electronics systems and radar architectures to enhance performance and reliability in military environments.
Design and optimize antenna systems for enhanced radar performance in defense scenarios.
Conduct simulation, analysis, and modeling of radar and RF subsystems for defense systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, software, and systems engineers, to develop integrated defense electronic systems.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, particularly MIL-STD and DoD regulations.
Support system integration and field testing of radar systems in defense environments.
Compensation Range: $112,900 - $146,800
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. Skills and Experience:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
8+ years of experience in radar or weapons system design and development for defense applications.
Strong knowledge of RF circuit design, microwave systems, and electromagnetic theory.
Experience with electronics design, system integration, and radar architectures for military use.
Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, HFSS, CST, ADS, or similar tools.
Hands-on experience with radar testing, calibration, and validation in defense applications.
Knowledge of industry standards such as MIL-STD, DoD compliance, and IEEE regulations.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel up to 50%, including international travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with power systems in radar and defense applications.
Knowledge of FPGA and embedded firmware development for military-grade systems.
Familiarity with digital signal processing (DSP) techniques and embedded systems.
Prior experience in defense or aerospace industries.
