Head of Sourcing and Production, Abu Dhabi

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Sourcing and Production.
Your Role
As growing organization Your role is to be the responsible manager for Sourcing and Production. The team consists of employees representing disciplines for Planning, Procurement, Industrialization and Production. You will be accountable for all Sourcing and Production activities, focus on procurement, new suppliers, and continued build-up of the production capability.
- Build up and continuous development of your team in line with business needs.
- Set up and a continuous development of Ways of Working
- Support and take an active role together with the project teams.
- Take an active role in the implementation of our ERP/MPS system.
- Building relations with internal and external interfaces
- The role will be responsible for budget, recruitments, competence development, individual objectives, and performance evaluations, participate in future business planning, administration, and process support in the projects.
Your skills and experience
It is advantageous if you experience from leading positions within the Sourcing and Production area, and it is equally important that you have a desire to be a part of continued build-up of the entity and operation in the UAE.
- You have strong business understanding, customer focus and skills to combine strategic thinking with operational actions.
- You have proven ability to take decisions to improve profitability.
- You are curious and inspired by new challenges and you have a well-developed understanding and willingness to learn about different cultures, which is crucial in this multi-cultural environment.
- You have a good ability to manage processes and cooperate with people.
- You are a team player supporting and helping the entire company.
Requirements for this role are:
- Minimum 10 years of experience from management responsibilities within sourcing and production
- Proven extensive experience of leadership, sourcing, production, and logistics.
- Proven experience from strategic development, as well tactical operations
- You are a driven person with the ability to generate energy and leads in accordance with Saab values.
- You have experience from recruiting and developing well-performing teams in a growth phase.
- You have appropriate professional or postgraduate qualification in a business oriented or technical discipline, and you have excellent skills in spoken and written English.
- You have experience from work in accordance with a certified management system (processes)
- Driver’s license
- Merit is also experienced from export control compliance.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
What you will be a part of

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is one of these key customer countries where Saab has now increased its presence by initiating the local development and production of different products.
