Your role
In this role, you will lead the Quality function within the Business Unit Digital Battlespace Solutions (DBS), with responsibility for both strategic development and day-to-day operations. The role includes ensuring that all products and execution comply with our Quality Management System (GMS) as well as applicable standards and certifications— from initial offer to final delivery.
A key aspect of the role is maintaining the balance between supporting the organisation and safeguarding the autonomy and integrity of the quality function. You will play an active part in driving change within the business unit, ensuring that the function focuses on the right priorities and continuously develops its working methods, tools and processes to improve quality-related outcomes.
You will have line responsibility for a team of Project Quality Managers located across two sites: Järfälla and Arboga. The team supports quality assurance throughout the full lifecycle of various projects, and you will lead and support their work, ensuring alignment across sites and projects.
As Head of Quality, you will also have full responsibility for all aspects of personnel management within the team. This includes recruitment, development dialogues, competence planning, salary setting and other areas related to team development and wellbeing.
You will be part of the Business Unit management team and drive quality topics across the BU. This includes ensuring process compliance, leading improvement initiatives and overseeing the processes, methods & tools area to ensure that changes are effectively implemented. Collaboration with counterparts in other Business Units is also an important part of the role, to ensure knowledge sharing and harmonised ways of working.
Travel will occur in this position.
Your Profile
As the Head of Quality, you are a proven a leader with experience of line management. You are a trusting, inspiring and coaching leader who creates a supportive working environment for your employees. You are able to see simplicity in complexity and provide clear direction as well as priorities effectively in the face of challenging situations. You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, where you feel confident in your ability to build relationships, make decisions, influence and provide advice.
Required skills:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience
- Solid background in quality, with a strong understanding of material flows, processes, and regulatory compliance, preferably within the industrial sector.
- Practical experience with quality and analysis tools such as Six Sigma, 8D, 5 Why, and/or FMEA.
- Experience with Value Stream Mapping and/or LEAN methodologies.
- Experience leading and implementing change related to methods, tools, and processes, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong business acumen and ability to connect quality initiatives with broader business goals.
- Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Experience of managing internal and external audits is considered an advantage.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
