Head of Commercial & Estimate

Saab Aeronautics is looking for a Commercial & Estimate Area Manager for Business Unit Gripen.

Your role

As a Head of Commercial & Estimate area, part of BU Gripen Sales Department, you will be leading and develop the team members responsible for all commercial related matters linked to both the execution of existing contracts but also in the efforts of securing follow-on business and new export orders related to the Gripen system.

You will be positioned in Linköping but are expected to have frequent contacts with other Business Areas within Saab as well as Swedish Governmental entities such as FMV and therefore some travel will be required. You will work as part of a consolidated team where you will lead commercial activities during the winning and execute business processes.

Activities in your commercial and manager role will include:

  • Building a close long-term business relationship within Saab and with Saabs customers

  • Leading the commercial activities during the winning and execute business processes

  • Responsibility for the Commercial Data pack, including calculation and evaluation of financial and commercial costs, risks and opportunities

  • Assessment of contract profitability including sensitivity analysis, cash flow analysis and payment plans

  • Drafting contracts and negotiating contractual terms and conditions

  • Assist in developing suitable business models and business set-ups

  • Other commercial tasks within the win business process

Your profile

We expect that you have a business degree and have the ability to combine strategic thinking with a high analytical ability and like to work as part of a team in a customer interface. You like to work in a complex environment, have a pragmatic and collaborative attitude and enjoy working hard under intense periods. You are an experienced leader and team builder and have great interest in making people grow.  

We believe that you have good analytical skills, a high level of business understanding and relevant experience from contract management, negotiations, estimating and pricing.
