Your role
Welcome to the naval side of life! We are now looking for a Head of 9LV Software, responsible for software development in the naval sphere. Not only are we providing software to more than ten customers simultaneously, we are also cooperating with Australia, Finland and Germany in delivering the striking performance of the 9LV CMS. You want to have the wide perspective, spiced with technical depth and a hint of English? Hey, you just found us!
You will head the department 9LV SW 1 which includes seven sections. The department is new and includes SW, test and integration. We want to develop the way we work in close cooperation with Systems Department and the sister Department 9LV SW 2. Developing a new flow, and ways of working, for software, test and integration will initially be an important task. You will be responsible for your department’s software deliveries to our customer projects.
You lead the planning and follow up in coordination with relevant stakeholders. To make this successful you will work close with the Products organization that is responsible for the architecture and the product roadmap. To make a good plan for all teams and efforts you will have a tight dialogue with the delivery projects.
You will be a part of 9LV Design Management Team – which is the development organization for 9LV product family. You are expected to take an active role in the collaboration with all parts of the management team and be able to represent to whole organization in different forums.

Your Profile
You are a proactive and results-oriented leader with a proven track record of delivering results and successfully managing teams. Highly organised and a strong problem-solver, you excel at motivating and developing your team members. Your passion for software development is matched by a deep understanding of the industry.
Required Skills:
- Experience of being a manager and/or project manager
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Deep knowledge of SW development
- A result-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken Swedish and English.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in the defence industry.
- Experience of test development
- Knowledge of HW/SW decoupling
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
