Do you have the drive and edge as a Sustainability Reporting Manger in the defence sector?
Your role
Saab has the ambition of being a leader within sustainability for the global defence industry. Saab was the first major defence company to commit to Science-Based Targets, while at the same time being one of the first defence companies to implement the UN Guiding Principles for Business and Human Rights into our processes.
You will play a key role in ensuring Saab’s management of Sustainability Reporting. One of the main responsibilities will be to manage compliance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) develop and improve ways-of-working and processes for sustainability reporting, together with Group Finance, Business Units and Group Functions. Your key responsibilities include regulatory compliance, enhancing the accuracy of sustainability reporting processes. You will work in the team Group Sustainability, in close collaboration with Group Finance, in a cross-functional team and together with Sustainability controller at Group Finance.
You as a member of Group Sustainability will work on our Sustainability strategy, ensuring that Saab manages risks and opportunities are in line with stakeholder expectations and Saab’s Business Plan.
As part of our team, you will together with the Group Sustainability-team work with our Sustainability strategy, to ensure that Saab manages risk and opportunities in accordance with stakeholder expectations and in accordance with Saab’s Business Plan. As Group Sustainability Manager you will also support the rest of the Group Sustainability-team, which includes working with governance, internal and external communication, public policy and stakeholder engagement. The Group Sustainability Team works on a global arena with our Business Areas, operational countries and relevant Group Functions.
You will work in Group Communication and Sustainability office, and report to the Head of Group Sustainability.
Your profile

You have a relevant academic education, for example a master's degree in Economics, Civil Engineering, Natural sciences or Law. You have a strong knowledge of international sustainability standards and how companies put them into practice. You should be familiar with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and European Sustainability Reporting Standards, UN Global Compact, the Global Reporting Initiative, and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. You should also have a strong understanding and experience of sustainability reporting.
To be successful in this role you should:
- have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in major international companies, government authorities or international organizations.
- have experience of working with sustainability reporting, preferably CSRD framework issues in a corporate setting.
- have strong knowledge and experience of practically applying international sustainability frameworks in complex settings.
- be used lead projects and work in cross-functional teams.
- be able to communicate complex information and content in an easy and understandable way.
- be able to work independently based on given goals and assignments, but also have good collaboration skills with colleagues as well as internal and external counterparts.
It is considered an extra merit if you have worked in the defence sector.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
