Your role

You will be a member of the Marketing and Sales team at Business Unit Aerospace Systems, where you will be responsible for leading and coordinating activities in support of our marketing and sales efforts to win new business. The business is often immense and the overall complexity associated with the projects can be very high. This makes the business demanding, but also exciting and interesting.

We offer a world-class adaptable production system for design, industrializing, production and support of aircraft structures with integrated systems. Our business portfolio includes T-7 in partnership with Boeing and commercial airframe assemblies for market leaders in the aerospace industry.

Your role as Product Sales Responsible (PSR)/Business Developer will give you an unrivaled opportunity to take on a key role in shaping and bringing home our future business making you a vital part in our march toward growth. The strive for working efficiently in streamlined teams mean that your work will be dynamic and varied in terms of responsibilities, tasks and activities. Your main focus will be to support our more externally focused sales representatives which will include extensive partner and customer interactions, domestically and internationally. You will be positioned in Linköping but periods with frequent traveling is to be expected and also required.

You will have a central role in a Saab cross-functional team leading internal activities often ranging over several Business Units, Departments and other Saab entities world-wide. Strong collaboration with our external partners will often also be required.

Examples of responsibilities in the role:

  • Lead and coordinate the Product Sales Core Team and related activities including commercial terms and aspects such as cost/price estimates
  • Project management and bid management support including leading RFI/RFP responses
  • Create marketing and win strategies in close collaboration with Customer Sales Responsible (CSR) and other stakeholders
  • Build collaborative and close long-term business relationships within Saab and with Saabs customers, partners and stakeholders
  • Development of appropriate business models and business set-ups
  • Prepare and lead/support negotiations, signing and handover activities
  • Compile and support Sales Funnel data
  • Presentations for top management
  • Drive compliance for marketing and sales processes and tools such as WB-process, CRM, Export Control, Risk and Information/Data Management
  • Support internal and external marketing and sales communications, reports and activities
  • Support budget planning and order intake forecasting (e.g. LTOIP)

Your profile 

To thrive in this role, you are a business-oriented person with great communication skills, good self-management skills and can handle many parallel tasks. You are used to efficiently collaborating with team members as well as other stakeholders on different levels and from varying cultures. You are attentive to both the needs of the organization and the customer with ability to identify opportunities enabling you to adapt well to different circumstances. You have leadership qualities and an ability to build trust and commitment with your clients and colleagues. Great consideration will be given to your personal qualities and experience.

Required skills:

  • Experience from system and/or product sales
  • High level of business acumen and social skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in Swedish and English
  • Relevant education at university level
  • Great proficiency in MS Office

Other desired qualifications:

  • CRM experience
  • Knowledge about our products

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
