Your role
As a Contract Manager for projects you will be coordinating the commercial tasks in foremost Saab’s Execute Business process (ongoing projects), but also involved in Win Business (sales). You will work towards the goal of project success, securing contract compliance and profitability as well as driving sales.
In your role you will work close with project managers and PMO in strategy, compliance, scope, contract changes, customer interface and negotiations. You will play an active part in steering groups and decisions, being an advisor to project owners and “co-pilot” to project management. An important aspect is to make sure that lessons learned are inherited for future contracts.
Your main responsibilities as a Contract Manager will also contain:
- Interaction with internal/external expertise in order to cover commercial aspects of the work.
- Proactive communication with the project owners concerning insights and control of adherence to commercial T&Cs throughout the contract length.
- Engagement with and understanding of the customer in support of the project and of business strategies.
Commercial and Contract Management is a high-energy team that strives to ensure that all parts of our customer offerings are commercially optimized in order to maximize our chances to win and deliver profitable business. We operate across Saab’s Business Area Surveillance as a centralized function covering a broad range of responsibilities such as customer requirements, business/contract set-up, strategy, contract terms & conditions, negotiations, calculation and pricing.Our work is performed in close cooperation and coordination with business unit sales, compliance, operations, corporate legal, treasury, finance, industrial cooperation and other necessary functions.
Contract Management is the unit within Commercial and Contract Management that specializes in Execute Business, focusing on ongoing projects.
The job involves national as well as international travels.
Your profile
Contract management requires a good understanding of a broad range of topics. We believe that you already have good experience in projects/contracts. Hands-on experience from project management, contract terms & conditions, negotiations, sales, quality, legal issues, price calculations etc. are all major assets.
You have an eye for details and an analytical mind. You are comfortable working independently within your area of competence as well as with other team members or expertise in order to secure quality, compliance and to meet deadlines. The work is often of an event driven nature where both initiative and the ability to evaluate situations, options and solutions are vital. The main objective is to contribute to profitable and sustainable business.
As the arena is international and customer communication is inherent, language skills are crucial. Your English is excellent and your understanding and insights of cultural aspects is very good.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. Swedish citizenship is a requirement.
