At Saab Kockums, we're revolutionizing maritime operations with Autonomous Ocean Core, a cutting-edge solution that increases efficiency, reduces costs, and enhances safety. We're seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager to bring this game-changing technology to market and establish Saab as a leader in the autonomous maritime industry.
As Business Development Manager, you'll be at the forefront of a rapidly evolving market, identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities to expand our reach and impact. You'll lead the charge in developing a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, forging strategic partnerships, and securing key customer wins. You will report directly to the Head of Marketing & Sales and collaborate closely with the product development, engineering, and leadership teams to successfully launch and scale Autonomous Ocean Core.
Your main responsibilities:
- Spearhead the commercialization and global market launch of Autonomous Ocean Core
- Cultivate a robust sales pipeline and drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships and customer acquisition.
- Analyze market trends, identify emerging opportunities, and shape our competitive positioning.
- Develop innovative financing models to meet the diverse needs of our customers.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and marketing teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Your Profile:
You're a bold and independent leader with a passion for technology and a proven track record of success in bringing innovative products to market. You thrive in fast-paced environments, possess exceptional relationship-building skills, and are driven by the challenge of shaping the future of an industry.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience of doing business with software products and systems, preferably maritime or autonomous systems.
- Expertise in developing and executing go-to-market strategies, including customer segmentation, pricing, and market entry tactics.
- Strong sales leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead the sales process from prospecting to closing.
- Deep understanding of market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs within the autonomous or maritime technology sectors.
- Experience structuring and suggesting creative financing models (e.g., subscription, performance-based contracts).
- Exceptional communication skills, with fluency in English and the ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Location:
You will belong to a M&S team based in Malmö, Sweden. Other potential locations are Stockholm, Linköping and Karlskrona. Frequent travel is required to meet customers, partners, and stakeholders globally.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
