Your role
The Regional Sales Office Spanish Speaking Countries in Region Latin America, is looking for a Business Development Director to develop and grow Saab business in the Mexican market.
In the role of Business Development Director for Saab you will be responsible for activities such as:
Initialise and drive Business Development in the Mexican market and work together with the Business Units to take these cases to a successful outcome
Market positioning of the company’s Land, Naval and Air portfolio
Managing customer and partnership networks
Establishing and building local industrial cooperation, together with the Industrial Cooperation (IC) team
Take on the role as a core team leader for driving Saab’s Winning Business (WB) process and Customer Relationship Management (CRM), etc.)
Responsibility for and participation in local and regional exhibitions and seminars
Utilize and manage the existing support functions within Saab
Drive the Business Cases
Based either in one of our offices in the Region Latin America where we at the moment have local presence: in Brazil, in Chile and in Colombia, or alternatively based in Sweden at one of our sites there. In this role you will be required to travel frequently to meet customers and partners.
Your profile
As a candidate for this position, you will need to have the ability to work independently, take on great responsibility and have excellent communication skills. You have a passion for business and closing contracts with a strong aim to contribute to Saab’s profitable growth. You are the definition of a "team player".
The successful candidate should have the following skills and experiences:
Track record of successful defense solutions sales
Previous experiences of working in Latin America or close to Mexican Defence Forces
Strong network within Saab
Extensive cooperation with the different Business Units in Sweden and other relevant countries
Proven social and communication skills and ability to effectively lead core teams within Saab
Fluent in English and Good knowledge of Spanish
High level of competence and confidence in reading, writing and verbal reasoning is essential
Good general knowledge of Saab products and systems
Ability to adaptto local and different cultures
The Headquarter of Region Latin America is located in Sao Paulo. It serves as a hub for the whole region, stretching from Mexico in the north to Chile and Argentina in the south. At the moment we have local presence and regional sales offices in Brazil, Chile and in Colombia.
This position requires that you will be approved in a security vetting in accordance to ISO:27001+
