Your role
Saab is now looking for a solution-oriented Business Controller with the right drive and mindset to oversee all financial activities of the organization!
This includes several areas such as leading the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial business planning in liaison with strategy function. You will also be responsible for financial reporting which includes preparing and presenting detailed financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, to the management and other stakeholders.
As a Business Controller you will also make performance analysis such as; conduct thorough financial analysis and simulation to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. You will also play an important roll in the team where you will support and mentor other finance professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous development.
Other assignment includes:
- Cost management: Implementing and maintaining cost control measures, ensuring efficient resource allocation and expenditure management.
- Strategic planning: Collaborate with the Business Unit Controller and management team to develop and execute the business unit’s strategic plan, including investments, new business opportunities and project execution
- Risk management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring robust internal controls and compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
The position is based in Järfälla.
Your Profile
To be successful in this role we would like you to have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights. Having ability to think strategically and contribute to the overall direction of the business unit are other valuable traits.
We also believe a suitable background for this role contains:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. A Master’s degree or professional qualification is highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership position.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis. Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and financial software (e.g. Agresso, Mercur, HFM).
- Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to ideas and decision support to management and stakeholders.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
