Your Role:

The Collaborative Decision Making and Efficiency (CDM&E) group within the Surveillance Business Segment focuses on providing products and services designed to assist airlines and airports in operating more efficiently by leveraging the benefits of the Saab Aerobahn product.  You will be working alongside our System Engineering Team and other Software Engineers as they work with our customers to setup, configure and enhance the Saab Aerobahn product to meet their needs.  We are looking for a Software Engineer with an interest in all aspects of the software development lifecycle.

Compensation Range: $69,100-$84,600

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

Required Skills:

  • Object-Oriented Design and Programming with Java and JavaScript

  • Experience working with Unix-based systems (Linux)

  • Experience with HTML and other web/mobile development technologies

  • Ability to systematically evaluate data

  • Must be able to work in a dynamic team environment.

Desired Skills:

  • Relational Database experience (SQL)

  • Familiarity with Java application frameworks such as SpringBoot and Tomcat

  • Familiarity with Java tools, such as Hibernate and JMS

  • Familiarity with Javascript framework ReactJS

  • Familiarity with software version control systems (e.g. Subversion)

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Recommended Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in computer science, software engineering or related discipline

  • 1+ years of related experience required

Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
