Inside Björkborn’s Carl-Gustaf Production Line

Karlskoga is a quiet town in Örebro County, Sweden, home to just about 27,000 people. It was here that Alfred Nobel spent his final years, refining the invention that later changed the world. Karlskoga also happens to be the birthplace of the Carl-Gustaf multi-role weapon system and the headquarters of Saab’s Dynamics business area, where support weapons, missiles, and torpedoes are designed, assembled, and tested for customers around the globe. In this article, we will take a quick tour of the Björkborn production facility and meet some of the people that work there.

Saab Signs MOU with HAL for Laser Warning System

Saab has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to collaborate on the Electronic Warfare land Laser Warning System-310 (LWS-310). This agreement builds on a strong partnership between Saab in South Africa and HAL that began in 2005 during the development of the Advanced Light Helicopter Programme.

Saab at Aero India 2025

Saab is presenting a wide portfolio of products and systems for the air, land and sea domains at Aero India at Bengaluru from 10-14 February 2025. Taking centre stage will be the Full Scale Replica (FSR) of Gripen E and the Gripen E Cockpit Simulator. On display will also be Carl-Gustaf® M4, which will be made in India at the manufacturing facility Saab are establishing in Jhajhar, Haryana.
