Saab Australia boosts economy by over $1.6 billion
Saab Australia is delivering significant economic uplift, growing Australia’s skilled workforce and lifting GDP, while delivering critical sovereign defence and security capabilities.
Saab commissioned Deloitte Access Economics to assess the economic impact that Saab’s presence is Australia has generated, while delivering sovereign defence capabilities for the Nation.
Deloitte Access Economics’ report ‘Economic impact of Saab Australia’ identifies that Saab has lifted Australia’s GDP by $1.6 billion over the past 20 years and added more than 1,000 FTE jobs on top of the 1,000 the organisation employs.
The report details how Saab’s investment in its highly skilled workforce, facilities and capabilities has generated significant economic uplift at the same time as developing sovereign capabilities that can be adapted to meet the Australian Defence Force’s evolving operational requirements.
