Saab recruits experienced leaders to new key positions
Australian industry leaders Sarah Roberson and Michael Devine CSC have been appointed to the newly created roles of General Manager Government Relations and Key Account Manager – Defence, at Saab Australia.
The two new roles will support Saab’s rapid growth which has seen the company surge to 900 employees and open new facilities in the ACT,
Queensland and Victoria over the past two years.
Saab Australia Managing Director, Andy Keough CSC, said the appointments would strengthen Saab’s engagement with the Australian Government and Defence.
“Sarah and Mick have extensive experience in the defence sector from an industry, Commonwealth and Navy perspective.”
“Their experience leading capability planning and customer engagement will support the ongoing successful delivery of key projects for the Commonwealth.”
“Mick’s experience as a Commanding Officer of a Royal Australian Navy (RAN) vessel fitted with Saab’s 9LV Combat Management System is invaluable and provides a unique insight into the requirements of the RAN.”
Sarah Roberson has a decade of experience in senior government relations, marketing and communications roles across global defence businesses QinetiQ and Lockheed Martin.
Michael Devine CSC served in the Royal Australian Navy for almost 30 years before leading national functions for private and public sector organisations.
