Around five thousand visitors of the 8th Brazilian Industry Innovation Summit had the opportunity to take a close look at the Gripen FSR (Full Scale Replica) on display last week. They also got to experience flight simulations using VR (Virtual Reality) goggles and play the Gripen videogame.
The summit was held on June 10 and 11 in São Paulo, and was promoted by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) and the Brazilian Service of Support to Micro and Small Enterprises (SEBRAE).
"This is an event that shows innovation and its influence in the defence industry,” Innovation Director of CNI, Gianna Sagazio tells FAB.
“We are here to discuss how these new concepts are changing our lives, and how the industry has to prepare itself in every way, including training people. And I am thankful for this partnership with the FAB. The Gripen replica here demonstrates the fruitful materialization of this mutual cooperation," Sagazio adds.
The visitors of the event also had an interactive session with the FAB personnel about Gripen’s new features and the “importance of the FX-2 Project,” the report further adds.
