The Head of Brand & Marketing within the Group Communications department will play a pivotal role in overseeing the Saab brand and shaping Saab's marketing strategy, with a particular focus on NATO, EU, Sweden and international marketing activities. This position requires a strategic thinker who can drive brand awareness and establish a center of excellence in brand and marketing across the organization.

Your role

The Head of Brand & Marketing within the Group Communications department will play a pivotal role in overseeing the Saab brand and shaping Saab's marketing strategy, with a particular focus on NATO, EU, Sweden and international marketing activities. This position requires a strategic thinker who can drive brand awareness and establish a center of excellence in brand and marketing across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand strategy, innovation and compliance: Develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies that align with Saab’s business objectives. Ensure brand compliance across the company with regards to the Saab corporate visual identity, tone of voice etc. Continuing to innovate the brand core and expression with new implementations and in new arenas.
  • Brand Awareness: Build and promote Saab’s international brand through strategic marketing campaigns, partnerships, and engagement with key stakeholders in defense and government sectors.
  • Strategic Marketing Leadership: Together with relevant stakeholders develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies targeting NATO, EU, Sweden and international markets to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
  • Center of Excellence: Act as the center of excellence for brand & marketing within Saab, establishing best practices, providing guidance, and ensuring alignment across all markets, business areas and units regarding marketing initiatives.
  • Market Analysis: Collect market research and competitor analysis from the strategy and group business development departments to inform strategic decisions and identify new opportunities within the defense industry.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the business areas, country heads, government affairs, group business development and sales units to develop integrated marketing plans that make full use of the broad communication toolbox at hand. Ultimately and effectively supporting Saab’s business objectives.
  • Performance Measurement: Establish metrics to measure the success of marketing initiatives, analyze outcomes, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of brand & marketing professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation and high performance.

In this role, you will be a member of the Group Communications & Sustainability management team, reporting directly to the Head of Group Communications & Sustainability.

Your profile

We are seeking an experienced senior leader with a strong track record in both communications and marketing management.

You take responsibility for your own work and you understand how your part contributes to fthe greater good.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in brand & marketing, with a focus on international markets.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive brand awareness and business growth.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building and leading successful brand & marketing teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics and tools to track performance metrics.

You have excellent communication skills in English and Swedish, verbal and written and you are trustworthy with high standards of ethics and personal integrity.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
