Senior Systems Engineer

Sonderborg,
Denmark
Closing date: 30 May 2026

Do you want to work in a company that develops systems to help keep people and society safe?

You will join a systems engineering team responsible for designing, integrating, and verifying secure communication systems where reliability, interoperability, and lifecycle performance are critical.

Your role

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you take end-to-end technical ownership of system design within complex projects. You are responsible for defining system architecture, driving requirements, and ensuring that solutions meet operational, technical, and lifecycle constraints.

You lead systems engineering activities across disciplines, align stakeholders, and make trade-offs between performance, cost, schedule, and maintainability.

You guide other engineers and ensure consistency across system design, integration, and verification.

Success in this role means delivering robust system designs that meet requirements, are accepted by stakeholders, and perform reliably in operation while balancing technical and lifecycle constraints.

You will work on systems involving multiple interfaces, suppliers, and technologies, where decisions have long-term impact on system performance, maintainability, and operational effectiveness.

Your profile

You have proven experience taking technical ownership in complex systems engineering projects, including system architecture, requirements, and integration.

You are comfortable making technical decisions under uncertainty and aligning stakeholders across engineering, project management, and customers.

You translate operational needs into structured system solutions and drive them through to implementation and verification.

You have operated as a technical lead or senior contributor in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
