Saab Discusses Modernisation Of Air Force In Malaysia

A conference on The International Air Force Modernisation , Asia took place on 9th  and 10th June, 2014 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Lars Ekstrom, Business Developer for AEW&C at Saab AB shared his insights on how an AEW&C can be adapted in the changed world of threats. He gave a presentation covering issues related to multi mission operations.

Delegations and experts from 15 nations came together to share innovation and technologies for platforms, MRO, training, simulation, technology upgrades, UAS’s and more.

“This is a very good arena for us to meet and discuss future demands, and we got a lot of attention and good feedback on our presentations”, said Lars Ekström.

Group Captain Jackkrit Thammavichai, Deputy Commander, Wing 7, Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) gave a presentation on JAS 39 Gripen Multi-Role Combat Aircraft.

He elaborated about the successful acquisition, integration and commissioning of the Gripen fighter system and the Saab 340 AEW&C system into the defense forces. He also highlighted the high number of produced flight hours.
