Saab at LAAD 2025
As part of our true and successful collaboration with Latin America, we believe that security is more than a necessity ─ it is a human right.
Saab will present a robust portfolio at the fair, including RBS 70 NG, an air defence missile system acquired by the Brazilian Army; Giraffe 1X, a multi-mission surveillance radar for detecting, tracking and classifying threats; as well as training and simulation equipment.
One of the stand's main highlights will be MSHORAD (Mobile Short-Range Air Defence), a mobile air defence system using the RBS 70 NG, Giraffe 1X radar unit and the Command and Control (C2) communication system responsible for coordinating operations.
For the first time at LAAD Saab is showcasing Ground-Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB), a long-range precision munition developed in partnership with Boeing. GLSDB combines Small Diameter Bomb with a ground launch system, offering exceptional flexibility and effectiveness at distances of more than 150 kilometres.
The stand also has a Gripen fighter flight simulator, where guests can practice defence missions and experience flying the Brazilian Air Force's newest fighter. A scale model of Gripen will also be on the stand.
