Training solutions gaining confidence on a global level

In today's rapidly evolving security landscape, the importance of effective military training and simulation solutions cannot be overstated. Saab’s Live training customers exceeds today more than 35 nations, including multiple NATO members in Europe as well as the U.S. Saab is also able to support on-site, with support sites established in multiple nations around Europe and in Northern America. One major example is s the current operations on German Army Combat Training Centre GÜZ.

Delivering interoperability in multiple contracts

Saab’s latest contracts includes U.S. Marine Corps, where Saab is delivering a turnkey next-generation live training equipment, with included logistics and training exercise support. Deliveries are ongoing with very positive feedback reported in media. This contract was signed in 2021 and in recent years also RNLA (Royal Netherland Army) and Polish Armed Forces, Finland and Sweden made major investments in developing their Live Training capabilities and thereby ensuring interoperability with NATO and other allied nations.

Another recent contract is for the Norwegian Armed Forces, a customer for Saab’s training solutions since 2004. The new contract includes support, service and maintenance for the Combat Training Centre at Rena in southeastern Norway. This support is part of the possibility to execute the recent Nordic Response 2024 exercise in Northern Europe.

Austria is another nation that continues to invest in Saab’s training solutions. In the end of 2023 they placed an order to expand their current live training as well as live fire training setup. The latest order includes Infantry Target Systems (LOMAH) in addition to vehicle simulators, soldier kits and base stations.

Looking ahead, Saab remains poised for further expansion in the training and simulation market.
