Saab’s CBRN recce vehicle is a complete CBRN reconnaissance vehicle and first responder unit, carrying specialists with advanced detection, identification and sampling equipment.
\nIt provides active detection equipment, enabling users to monitor the outside air from their workstations.
\nThe vehicle is equipped with protective suits, masks and detection instruments, and carries equipment capable of substance identification and safe personnel decontamination
\nThe RGS is a modular system for remote sampling of CBRN with a forensic approach. It can handle up to 10 air-sampling lines for CBRN and can be manually triggered to take a sample or automated by the CBRN software. The sampling method and tubes/filters support the standard AEP 66. The user can decide how to configure the sampler.
\nEach of the 10 sampling lines can be equipped for either CWA, TIC, BWA or RN sampling, depending on the needs. Sample tubes have to be collected after sampling for further analysis (at a laboratory or in field). Each sampling tube/filter has to be sealed before and after sampling to prevent cross-contamination.
\nThe sampling procedure is digitally documented in regard to position, time, sampling volume and flow rate.
