The market for remote air traffic control services has matured and is entering a new stage. The board of directors of Saab Digital Air Traffic Solutions (SDATS) has therefore decided to make changes to the company's direction and management. Per Ahl, currently Head of Marketing of the company, takes over as new CEO of SDATS.
In 2016, LFV and Saab formed a joint company, Saab Digital Air Traffic Solutions AB, to market, sell, develop and remotely operate digital air traffic control services. Remotely-controlled air traffic control services have achieved market acceptance and SDATS sees a significant increase in the number of possible contracts. It is therefore increasingly important to secure these deals.
The board of SDATS has therefore decided to appoint Per Ahl as the new CEO of SDATS. Per Ahl is currently Head of Marketing and has a great deal of experience and expertise in the market for remote controlled air traffic control services. The current CEO Johan Klintberg goes on to new assignments.
- Under the leadership of Johan Klintberg, SDATS was first in the world with operational remote-controlled air traffic control services. New challenges now face us. Per Ahl has been involved throughout the journey with developing the world's first remote-controlled air traffic control service, which has now been in operation for three years. Per has the expertise required to develop SDATS to the next level, says Peter Engberg, Chairman of SDATS.
