Within Saab, Latin America became its own market area in early 2015, but we have been doing business in the region for much longer. Already in the 50s Saab sold its first civil aircraft, Saab Scandia, to Brazil. The last of a total of 18 planes being delivered in the "Mágico" football year of 1958! The Scandia was actually the first aircraft to land in Brasilia after the airport was inaugurated. Today the only remaining Scandia is at the Eduardo André Museum in Brazil.The early 1980s mark our firs sell to the region and since then we have been expanding our presence. Today we have several satisfied customers including Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and Chile, with products such as RBS 70, AT4, Carl-Gustaf and Erieye.
