TactiCall Dispatcher has passed quality and performance tests

Many European countries depend on Motorola’s Dimetra TETRA trunked radio communications infrastructure for their emergency services, including police, fire, and ambulance services.

Recently the Saab TactiCall Dispatcher was successfully certified for use with the Airwave network, the UK’s Motorola Dimetra TETRA radio network.

The Airwave certificate allows Saab to install and operate our Dispatcher products at any customer using
Airwave. The TactiCall Dispatcher can work stand alone or as in this case as part of a Command & Control
platform. The solution is in essence a communication client supporting control room dispatchers in their
workflow; planning tasks as well as emergencies, and coordinating operations for the resources in the field.

"This certification is a major milestone in the progress of our dispatch solution  – The next step for
us will be to certify the use of P25 radios in order to adapt the solution for markets such as Asia
Pacific and Latin America", says Peter John, Product Manager, Saab Danmark A/S.

This TETRA certification opens up new markets in Europe as well though – as well as new domains like;
manufacturing plants, chemical processing, mining operations, road maintenance, ports and harbours,
power line maintenance, and public events. We are working toward certification with the SINE TETRA
network in Denmark, and similar networks elsewhere in Scandinavia and beyond.

"The aim with the TactiCall dispatcher has always been to create a solution that is viable across
domains and geography. Certifications are an important part of this scope as it serves as a proof
that our solutions will work with the legacy networks in use within our different markets", says Peter
John, Product Manager, Saab Danmark A/S.

Technical specifications
The TactiCall Dispatcher Suite can be utilized as a standalone solution, or fully integrated into existing
Command & Control, Computer Aided Dispatch or similar systems. The distributed architecture scales from
a single workstation to multi-center nationwide deployment, and eliminates single points of failure. The
operator has full use of all radio communication and dispatch functionality.
TactiCall Dispatcher is optimized for organizations with a central radio dispatch function – for example
police, ambulance, fire, rescue, roadside rescue, transport & logistics, processing, or security guarding.
