On the occasion of Brazilian Aviator's Day, a full-scale replica of the new FAB Gripen E was exhibited at the National Museum of Brazil, along with a 3D projection of the fighter at night. The event called "Wing Week" was held by the FAB from 22-27 October.
The annual event celebrates the achievements of Alberto Santos-Dumont, a famous Brazilian aviation pioneer, who made the first significant flight of a powered aircraft in Europe on 23rd October, 1906.
Other than the full-scale Gripen E display at the entrance of the museum, the exhibition also included documentary photographs in the main hall showcasing the story of Santos-Dumont. The 3D images of Gripen were projected on the exterior of the iconic dome-shaped museum.
