Find out how the knowledge acquired in the Gripen NG development program can be applied in unexpected ways in Brazil and its indirect benefits to the country and the professionals.

Introduction

The recent acquisition of 36 Gripen NG fighter aircraft by the Brazilian Government will provide additional benefits than the expansion of the operational capability of the Brazilian Air Force. It includes the transfer of super-sonic fighter technology through dedicated industrial co-operation projects with Brazilian beneficiaries.

More than 350 Brazilian professionals from our partner companies, together with their families, will live and work in Sweden up to 2 years to take part in theoretical and on-the-job training, before they return to Brazil to apply and multiply their new knowledge and skills. There will be over 50 dedicated technology projects with the first tranche of secondees focussing on systems engineering and software development.
